Tina Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026 · Versão em português
Tina is a family organization app with an artificial intelligence assistant. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and how you control your information.
This is a translation of the Portuguese version, provided for convenience.
1. Who is responsible
Data controller: Laís Victoria Ometto, contact: contato@youtina.com.
2. Data we collect
Account data: name, email, date of birth, time zone and app preferences.
Family data: names, dates of birth and identification colors of the members you add, including dependents without their own account (such as children).
Content you create: events, tasks, shopping lists and information about the family routine that you share with Tina.
Conversations with Tina: messages exchanged in the chat and lasting facts about the family extracted from those conversations (for example, "the family lives in a given city"), used so that Tina remembers the context.
Audio: when you talk to Tina by voice, the recording is sent for transcription and discarded right afterwards. We keep only the transcribed text.
Photos: you can send a photo in the chat (an invitation, the school calendar, a poster) so that Tina creates the appointments shown in it. Before leaving your device, the photo is resized and converted into a new JPEG image, without the metadata of the original file (such as location). It is analyzed once, to answer that request, and is not stored: not in our database, not on a file server, and not in the app's storage on your device. The conversation history keeps only the marker "[foto]" and any text you wrote with it. What is kept is the result: the events and tasks Tina created and her reply listing what she understood. To enforce the daily photo limit, we also record the date of the upload, the size and format of the image and how many items were created — never its content.
Family documents: title, category, person responsible, country, document number, expiry date and the Google Drive link you provide. Tina does not store the file and does not access your Google Drive — it keeps only the link you paste. Who can open the file is defined by Drive's own permissions.
Google Calendar data: described in detail in section 4.
Notifications: an identifier of your device to send alerts, if you turn notifications on.
Technical data: access logs (such as IP address and time) kept by our infrastructure providers for security and operation. Tina uses the browser's local storage only to keep you signed in and to hold temporary sign-in data. We do not use cookies, tracking tools, usage analytics or advertising.
3. How we use your data
We use the data exclusively to provide Tina's features: showing and organizing the family calendar and tasks, answering your requests in the chat, reading the photos you send to create appointments, sending alerts and keeping the sync with Google Calendar.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.
4. Google data (Google Calendar)
What we access. With your permission, Tina accesses:
- the email address of the connected Google account;
- the events in your calendars (title, date, time, location, attendees and recurrence rules), to show them in Tina and to create, change and delete events in your primary calendar when you ask;
- the list of calendars in your account (name, color, time zone and your permission level in each one), read-only, so that you can choose which of them appear in Tina.
We do not request access to your contacts, Drive files, emails or full profile, and we do not request permission to create, change or delete calendars, or to change who has access to them. Tina does not edit events on other people's calendars.
How we use it.
- To show your events in the family calendar inside Tina.
- To create, change and delete events in your primary Google calendar when you (or Tina, at your request) do so in Tina.
- To show the list of your calendars so you can choose which ones appear in Tina.
- To receive notifications from Google about changes in the chosen calendars, so Tina updates within seconds, and to check periodically whether anything changed.
- To give the assistant the calendar context needed to answer your requests in the chat.
Other calendars in the same account. Besides the primary calendar, your Google account may have other calendars: created by you, shared with you or subscribed to by link. Tina shows the list and you choose which ones appear; the primary calendar always appears, and the others start switched off — including those that show up in your account later. Calendars that are hidden or deleted in Google, and those that only show "free/busy", are not listed. Events that come only from these other calendars appear in Tina read-only: Tina does not create, change or delete anything in them. New events created by Tina always go to your primary calendar. When you switch a calendar off, its events leave Tina (except those that are also in another calendar that is switched on), and nothing changes in Google.
How we store it. We keep a copy of the events in Tina's database, the calendar information described above (name, color, time zone, permission and whether it is switched on) and the access credentials (tokens) on the server, so the sync keeps working without you having to sign in again.
Who we share it with. Your events — including those from other calendars you switch on — are visible to the family members who belong to your family account in Tina. To answer in the chat, relevant parts of the calendar are sent to Anthropic, which provides the assistant's AI model (see section 5). We do not transfer Google data for any other purpose.
People do not read your Google data, except with your explicit consent (for example, when you ask for help with a problem), when necessary for security (such as investigating abuse) or to comply with the law.
We do not use Google data to train artificial intelligence models, neither ours nor third parties'.
Tina's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How to revoke. You can disconnect your Google account at any time under "Gerenciar calendários" (Manage calendars) in Tina. When you disconnect, Tina asks Google to stop sending change notifications, removes from Tina the events that came only from that account's other calendars, asks Google to revoke the access and deletes the credentials from our database. From then on Tina stops accessing your calendar. Events from the primary calendar that were already imported remain in the family calendar; you can ask for them to be deleted through the contact below. You can also revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
5. Providers that process data
Tina uses these services to work. Each one receives only what is needed for its function:
- Supabase: database, authentication and application servers. Photos pass through the application servers only during the request, without being saved.
- Vercel: app hosting.
- Anthropic: the assistant's AI model. It receives the chat messages, the photos you send and the context needed to answer (calendar, tasks and family information). Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this content — photos included — is not used to train its models. Anthropic deletes this content from its systems within 30 days, except when it is flagged for violating its usage policies (in which case it may be kept for up to 2 years) or when the law requires it to be kept. The data is processed in the United States and may be processed in other countries.
- OpenAI: audio transcription. It receives the recording, which Tina discards after transcription. Under the OpenAI API terms, this content is not used to train its models by default.
- Google: sync with Google Calendar.
- Operating system notification services (Apple, Google, Mozilla): deliver alerts to your device.
Some of these providers process data on servers outside Brazil, with appropriate contractual safeguards.
6. Sharing within the family
Tina is made for family use. Events, tasks, lists, documents and family information are visible to the adults who belong to the same family account. When you connect a calendar (including a work calendar) or switch on another calendar in your account, its events become visible to your family in Tina. The same applies to events and tasks created from a photo.
7. How long we keep data
While your account is active, your data is kept. This history is what lets Tina know your family's routine, and nothing is deleted unless you ask. Audio is discarded right after transcription. Photos are not kept: since we hold no copy of the image, there is no image to delete — the events and tasks created from it can be deleted in Tina, like any other.
You can ask at any time for specific data to be deleted (for example, a piece of information Tina saved about the family). If you ask for your account to be deleted, we delete your data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
8. Security
Each family's data is isolated from other families' data in the database. Communication is encrypted (HTTPS) and the infrastructure providers encrypt stored data. No system is 100% secure, but we treat the protection of your data as a priority.
9. Your rights
Under the LGPD (Brazil) and the GDPR (European Union), you can request: access to your data, correction, deletion, portability, information about who we share it with and withdrawal of your consent. Just write to contato@youtina.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority: ANPD (Brazil) or CNIL (France).
We process your data to provide the service you asked for and, for the Google Calendar connection, audio and the photos you send, based on your consent — which you can withdraw at any time by not using these features or by disconnecting your Google account.
10. Children and other people's data
Tina accounts are only for people aged 18 or over, and Tina is not directed to children. Parents and guardians can add information about their children (such as name and date of birth) to organize the family routine; this data is used only for that.
A photo may show information about other people, including children — for example, a class list on a school poster or the details of a medical prescription. Only send photos of what you need to turn into an appointment and that you have the right to share. Avoid photographing documents, prescriptions and any health information that does not need to become an appointment: in those cases, write the appointment yourself. Tina does not use this data for any other purpose, but the less sensitive data is sent, the better. Tina is instructed to use the photo only to identify dates and appointments; the image is not stored, and only what became an event or task and Tina's reply are kept. If an event or task created from a photo contains information about another person that should not be there, you can edit or delete it in Tina, or ask for it to be deleted through the contact below.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and notify you in the app when the change is relevant.
